11 Jun Striking a Balance Between Caregiving and Independence
Every resident at CareAgape Senior Homes has his or her own life story, personality, and set of needs. Our staff members get to know each individual and ensure that they are comfortable and supported living in our six-bed homes. This is the approach we take when we create care plans
for each senior.
Assistance Based on Levels of Need
A common question when relocating is about the loss of privacy and independence. We feel it is not lost, but instead moving to a care home minimizes isolation and dependence on loved ones. Residents can enjoy their lives knowing that they have assistance from our caregivers if needed, but every person living in the home is assessed on a case-by-case basis. From scheduling medications to exercise classes to bedside care and grooming assistance, our services can be tailored to fit all lifestyles, habits, and needs.
Activities and Hobbies Encouraged
Healthy aging is our overall goal at CareAgape Senior Homes. In addition to offering three healthy meals a day and daily housekeeping, our staff can provide as little or as much assistance to our residents as they need. There’s a healthy balance between maximum care and independent living.
From music therapy to Zumba, educational programming to spiritual reflection, there’s much to enjoy. Some of the facilities also have gardens, so if residents have a green thumb, we encourage them to get involved. Community is also key. We encourage our seniors to socialize
with each other, and we welcome guests of both the human and canine variety.
Prioritizing Comfort and Care
Upon making the move to one of CareAgape’s homes, care plans are laid out with each resident. Making the decision to move to an assisted living environment isn’t easy, and it’s important that families and residents are informed every step of the way. Thanks to our size and 3:1 resident to caregiver ratio, we are able to foster a true family environment where our highly- trained and compassionate care team has a personal interest in those they are looking after.
